Dental Implants

Missing teeth can be replaced with dentures, bridges and implants.

The most modern and conservative way to replace missing teeth is by dental implants.

A dental implant is a titanium screw, which is placed in the jawbone (under the gum). In order for it to be successful it depends on a sufficient quantity and quality of bone to integrate with, so that it becomes solidly anchored in the bone at which time it can be utilised as a ‘tooth’. A full examination, x-rays and sometimes a scan will be necessary to determine whether you are suitable for dental implants.

It is the closest thing to a like for like tooth replacement.

The advantage over the other options is that it is the best tolerated; probably because it feels the most natural.

Dental implants are the closest form to the natural dentition that science can offer.

Dental implants can be used to replace single teeth, multiple teeth and also to retain dentures.
